              Reading Teacher Tips

Being a reading specialist has afforded me many wonderful experiences.  I have learned how to lead training sessions for teachers and parents, attended wonderful, informative workshops all over the country and received Reading Recovery training.  Still, I believe the one, single event that stands out above all others is the actual teaching of a child.  Bringing literacy into the life of a child is an amazing event.  It changes their lives forever.  In the 25+ years that I have worked as a teacher and a reading specialist, I have taught hundreds of children to read.  I am quite proud of that accomplishment, and thankful for the talent God blessed me with.
